Colorado's Gateway Canyons: Elevating Romance With Scenic Air Tours...

Gateway, Colorado (Vocus/PRWEB) January 14, 2011

Somewhere between the thrill of the scenic flight in the sleek Cessna Caravan plane, the chocolate covered strawberries, the Colorado wine, custom massage and plush accommodations-- those endorphins, the ultimate feel-good hormones, are going to kick in. Valentine's holiday guests of Gateway Canyons Resort, located just one hour southwest of Grand Junction, Colorado, may choose from three extraordinary weekend packages lined up for the Valentine holiday: Love Is In The Air, Gateway To Romance, and the whimsical Arts, Hearts & Tarts package. All are guaranteed to inspire romance and ignite passion.

For the Love Is In The Air package at Gateway Canyons, a unique and memorable getaway is highlighted by an exhilarating scenic air tour in a Cessna Caravan with Gateway Canyons Air Tours. After a delightful jaunt among the clouds, couples can enjoy all the resort's other treats: lavish accommodations, a custom massage for two from The Spa at Gateway Canyons, a bottle of Colorado wine, chocolate covered strawberries, fine dining for two at the Paradox Grille, and even a horse-drawn carriage ride. A luxurious destination set in one of the most breathtaking natural landscapes in all of Colorado, Gateway Canyons is located midway on the Unaweep-Tabequache Scenic and Historic Byway. The spectacular Colorado canyon country which encouraged the designation of this route as a scenic byway is even more impressive from the air. The package price for all these amenities and activities, for the February 11 and 12 weekend, starts at $376 per person based on double occupancy.

For sweethearts seeking a more serene experience, Gateway Canyons offers the memorable and inspired Gateway To Romance package. It offers cozy accommodations, a horse-drawn carriage ride, and romantic fine dining at the Paradox Grille. Upon arrival couples will be greeted with a bottle of Colorado wine and chocolate covered strawberries. The Gateway To Romance package, which excludes the spa treatments and air tour, is modestly priced with rates starting at $184 per person based on double occupancy on February 11 and 12.

The Arts, Hearts & Tarts package is offered every Friday and Saturday in February and includes one night's accommodation, a gourmet dinner for two, a viewing in the resort's new high definition theater of 'The Colorado National Monument-- Celebrating 100 Years of John Otto’s Dream', or 'Hanging Flume', and a treasure hunt for art in Gateway including fiber arts, paintings, ironworks and stained glass. The Arts, Hearts & Tarts package starts at $124 per person based on double occupancy.

For guests eager to get to Gateway Canyons this winter but unable to make it for a February weekend, the Winter Oasis package is an option that will be available until April 4, 2011. This relaxing retreat combines winter and oasis-- two seemingly incongruous ideas-- which come together beautifully with superbly appointed accommodations, a massage in the elegant new spa, and upscale contemporary American cuisine at the Paradox Grille. A bottle of regional Colorado wine completes the package. The Winter Oasis package is available with either a one or two-night stay, and package prices start at $199 per person for one night, and $249 per person for a two-night stay.

Through March 6, 2011, Gateway Canyons will be serving winter lodging, dining and spa guests each week on Wednesday afternoons through mid-afternoon on Sundays. Package prices for the Valentine and winter getaways are quoted at double occupancy. Taxes and alcoholic beverages at dinner are additional to quoted prices. Love Over 60 Burns Just as Bright

San Luis Obispo, CA (Vocus/PRWEB) January 20, 2011

Bob Kamm’s new book, Love Over 60, was inspired by his own true love story. A story of two people who recently found each other in their early 60s and took big risks to be together. Given their ages, their motto became “no green bananas” and they truly lived it.

Love Over 60 is a magnificent affirmation that love beyond 60 can burn even brighter than the love of youth and is far richer for its maturity. Prose and poetry weave the true story of Bob and Andrea’s meeting; how, within five months, Andrea had left a 25-year professional practice and moved 250 miles to be with Bob; when they bought a house, and why Bob embraced caring for Andrea’s ex-husband, a stroke victim.

Less than two years after meeting, Bob and Andrea opened The San Luis Relationship Institute on California’s Central Coast, merging their talents to offer therapy, coaching and workshops for couples, singles and parents.

Kamm’s work arises not simply from his love for his woman, but from the center of love itself. He is a voice for all of us who struggle to find words to equal the intensity of our feelings. The book blends prose and poetry that is at once highly personal and resoundingly universal.

Though his core readership for this book is Baby Boomers, Kamm’s enduring sense of romance will appeal to much younger individuals and couples as well. This work is, by turns, lyrical, touching, funny, sassy and sexy.

Kamm has extensive media experience, having been on CNN, NBC and Fox, done numerous radio and print (WSJ, NYTimes, USAToday, Washington Post to name a few) and gives a rich and lively interview.

Learn more at LoveOver60.com and purchase the book online at Amazon.com, Borders.com and BarnesandNoble.com.

Praise for Kamm:

“Bob Kamm is one of America’s finest poets. He brings uncommon clarity and honesty to his work as well as an exquisite sense of imagery. His poems are rich with the subtle music of language that make you want to read them out loud again and again.” —Norm Jackson, Ph.D.

Author bio:

Bob Kamm is a man of deep lyric heart and an unlikely background, although he often describes himself as “just a guy who has had a life.” Kamm also wrote The Superman Syndrome, Real Fatherhood, and Lyric Heart. Together with his wife Andrea, Kamm offers therapy and couples workshops, singles workshops and parenting workshops at the San Luis Relationship Institute which they founded in 2009.

New Worldwide Program Launched To Help People Make Real New Years...

(Vocus/PRWEB) January 19, 2011

Just when the world would appear to be saturated with self help books and programs for all those setting New Years’ resolutions, a new highly-acclaimed self growth program with a difference, has launched. Live Your Life International’s Live The Life YOU Want program offers personal development coaching to its participants.

What sets this program apart from the rest is, with most personal development programs, people have had enough of being told “what” they needed to be doing in their lives, without being given a tangible “how.” That’s where Live The Life YOU Want comes in.

Program Founder Tom Grbich is a believer in "practical" and "experiential learning" and through 30 years of coaching individuals and business around the world, he has created a program that combines practical tools and approachability in a way that allows anyone to experience personal transformation that lasts a lifetime. These practical tools are what Grbich attributes to his own success as well as the many around the world that this program has helped, and such tools, he says, don’t require any special skill to use and they are available anytime you need them.

The new program is designed for anyone who is looking for a practical and permanent way to achieve their goals. It is especially suited for anyone that:
Has difficulties with the relationships in life    Struggles to “manage” stress instead of eliminating it    Feels that life is in control instead of the other way around    Suffers from low self esteem at any time    Would like to be get more out of life    Spends less than 70% of waking hours in a truly happy state of mind, and    Would really like to change all that

Grbich was born into a highly dysfunctional and abusive family. At only 8 years of age, Grbich said he made the decision to end his life as the only to end the emotional and physical pain he endured daily. Armed with a shotgun, he recalls how he left his house and trekked up a hill with every intention of killing himself.

“Armed with a shotgun, I went up the hill that overlooked the house and tried for about ten minutes to pull the triggers, but every time I thrust my thumb inside the trigger guard, it would pull back and refuse to strike. In frustration, I remembered that the shotgun could be made to fire just by banging the butt on the ground - so I started literally slamming it into the ground. When even that didn’t work, I finally broke down completely. This was the worst day of my life because here was the final proof, that everything my Mum had said about me was true – I was SO useless I couldn’t even do the one thing that had the power to end it all.”

That day he decided he deserved whatever happened to him in his life. His inability to pull the trigger forfeited his whining and blaming rights. The positive result of this learning, however, was he never complained again and he took personal responsibility for everything he did in his life.

In the years since, he has achieved every personal and business goal he has ever set for himself. Tom transforms people and companies wherever he goes and he now devotes his life to helping as many others as he can, to realize that they too have been totally misled, and they can change everything in their lives if... they are willing to change the way they think and act.

Key features of the Live The Life YOU Want program are:
A 260+ Page book spanning 20 chapters. This book contains the core principles of the Life The Life YOU Want Program.    Personal Evaluation questionnaires x 3 (one to start, another midway through the program, and one at the end)
A Draft Action Plan    A Needs Chart    A Personal Life Chart    A Things To Work On page    An Attitudes Working For You form    A Final Action Plan    A Getting The Most questionnaire    A Personal Discoveries page, and    Stories that compliment and accentuate the chapter that participants are working with at any given time

In addition the program also comes with a companion online DVD that has Grbich explaining each chapter of the program in much greater detail.

About Live Your Life International

Grbich founded Live Your Life International as a means to spread his hard earned and practical wisdom on how to live and achieve one’s greatest dreams and aspirations every day. Blue Star Families Calls Upon Creative Coalition to Marshall Power of...

Falls Church, VA (PRWEB) January 20, 2011

Suicide rates in the military continue to cause concern, and a new public service announcement being filmed this week by members of The Creative Coalition, aims to help service members, veterans and their families reach out for help.

Utilizing the arts as a powerful vehicle to create public awareness, The Creative Coalition was asked to take on the project by Blue Star Families (BSF), Health Net and Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS).

The Creative Coalition will begin shooting the public service announcement (PSA) campaign this week in Park City, Utah during the upcoming Film Festival week. The spot, with the theme “I don't know what it's like...” will be directed by actor Tim Daly and feature celebrities reminding service members and their families that they are not alone, and that help is available.

What: Suicide Prevention PSA Shoot
When: Saturday, January 22, 2011 and Sunday, January 23, 2011
Noon to 5:00 PM daily
Where: Marriott Summit Watch
1st Floor (Owner’s Lounge)
780 Main St.
Park City, Utah

The Suicide Prevention campaign began when Blue Star Families member and military spouse Alison Buckholtz wrote an opinion piece for the LA Times asking “Where is the 'It Gets Better' suicide awareness campaign for our military?”

Mark D. Smith, an Army veteran and the executive director for Blue Star Families, acknowledged the need for help, "The suicide rate among our soldiers and their families is at a record high. As Americans, we have an obligation and responsibility to take care of the men and women who volunteer to sacrifice for our country. We hope this public service campaign will help military families realize they have somewhere to turn for confidential help.”

Kathy Roth-Douquet, military spouse and co-founder of Blue Star Families, noted, “Our military service members and their families are resilient and strong, but we want them to know that they don't need to needlessly suffer through depression and anxiety. Asking for help when you need it is a sign of strength, not weakness.”

“Suicide is a community issue, not just a military issue. This public service announcement sends an important message – which is that the American people care about our service members and want those in trouble to get help,” said Bonnie Carroll, founder and president of TAPS, who recently served as the co-chair of the Department of Defense Task Force on Prevention of Suicide by Members of the Armed Forces.

“Health Net believes we have an obligation to those who voluntarily serve our nation to show them that help is out there and it's OK to get help. We say to all our service members and veterans, ‘You are not alone. Your family and your nation need you,’” added Steve Tough, president of Health Net’s Government and Specialty division, which includes Health Net Federal Services.
